Type Specimen Book

I chose the type family of Antique Olive Standard for my Type Specimen Book. The assignment was to showcase your chosen typeset in booklet form while focusing on utilizing grid systems and typographic hierarchy. These are three of my favorite spreads from the booklet that i found best represented and showcased my typeface.

Design Culture Now

This assignment required me to create a 'contemporary' poster exhibiting four graphic designers for a hypothetical Design Culture Now show. The poster had to graphically showcase the featured designers while still incorporating a typographic hierarchy. I chose to design the poster around the main headline, Design Culture Now, after I had discovered its heavy-metalish, Destructo-looking font. I was in a metal phase music-wise at the time, so there was a definite influence on this poster's final draft.

Prototype

This letterset was one of the first assignments for Typography 1, where all we had was a 9x9 grid for each individual letter. Using nothing but full squares (bitmap style), we were to design an A, B, C, P, Q, and R in whatever fashion we pleased. Mine unintentionally ended up looking similar to the Jeopardy font, so I figured it was only appropriate to name it "Trebec."
